Metal parts surface treatment(Finishing) methods for aluminum and aluminum alloy

1) Polishing: Overcome sleathing stoicand and make the surface shiny.

2) Sand blasting: The purpose of sand blasting is to overcome and mask some defects caused by aluminum alloy in the process of machining and to meet the special requirements of the customer for the appearance of the product. There is glass sand, tungsten sand, etc. , showing a different feeling. Similar to the coarse texture of woolglass, thin moulds can also exhibit high-grade products.

3) Brushing: The performance is similar to the lathe turning pattern, both are  to form a smooth continuous pattern on the surface, the difference is that the turning pattern is shown as a ring-shaped pattern, the Scrub pattern is a straight line.

4) Lathe Turning pattern: This is using lathe to turning processing out of the pattern. The product body is characterized by very regular textures. Knurling is one common process belong to this.

5) Engrave figures: We often see some metal nameplates, the above product or company label has tilted or straight silk stripes, this is the Engrave figures process.

6) High gloss chamfering: similar to polishing, plating effect, but processing methods are different, the effect is different. Processing method for machining, showing a very bright light effect.

7) Anodizing(coloring): The oxidation of aluminum and aluminum alloys is divided into chemical oxidation and electrochemical oxidation (commonly known as anode oxidation). The electrochemical oxidation method of aluminum and its alloy, also known as anode oxidation treatment, is a method to make aluminum products obtain corrosion resistance and decorative surface, and is widely used in industry. The process, like electroplating the inverse process workpiece is the anode of the electrolytic circuit, not adding a layer of material (metal) to the cloud on the workpiece surface, but rather an internal reaction to increase the thickness of the strongly protected alumina layer, which is usually found on a thin aluminum surface.

8) Electroplating: Electroplating is the process of coating a thin layer of other metals or alloys on certain metal surfaces using the principle of electrolysis, and the process of attaching a metal film to the surface of a metal or other material piece is used to prevent metal oxidation (e.g. rust), and to improve wear resistance, conductivity, reflectivity, Anti-corrosive (copper sulfate, etc.) and enhance aesthetics and other effects.
